We the students of 3rd year has given a proposal to our college management to conduct a Mega event involving all the four departments and we are really glad to inform you that our college management has agreed with us. So, in connection to this we take our initial step by giving a appropriate name for the technical fest.
Hence, we look forward for your interest in making this event a grand success by giving your valuable suggestions for the fest name and your personal views in conducting it.

Following are some of the sanskrit names that I wnt to suggest. They may seem to b too complex one's bt hs a deep inner meaning in it so, I hv tried to give their meanings too. Lets see if it could impress anyone of you atleast.
1.anuttara: ultimate.
2.bhramavega: to whirl, flutter with intense energy and rate.
3.chandrA: - glittering , shining (as gold) , having the brilliancy or hue of light, the moon.
4.jZanam: knowledge.
5.jzata: intelligence, awareness.
6.jzAyate: to know.
7.kArya: work or business to be done, duty, an effect, result.
8.mAtreNa: (with or by) measured quantity, qualities,: protection by true knowledge.
9.niyojayet: leading and joining together.
10.pariSkq: prepare, make ready or perfect.
11.phalita: bearing fruit, successful.
12.prAtibhA: intuitive knowledge, intuition, divination.
13.saIhitam: great effort to obtain anything.
14.Urdhva: rising.
15.vikasa: extend, increase, to open, expand.
16.vizatamAtreNa: only by the right knowledge.
17.yasya: endeavored.
18.yuva: young, youthful, adult, strong, good, healthy.
i think Niyojayet or Prathibha will be nice names

ReplyDeleteA talent is a talent however small it is. Big or small, any talent has the right to be showcased for the greater good. Towards the exhibition of these talents of astronomical magnitude found amongst the student community we the students of D.C.E have initiated an event. An event nevertheless,but one that is entirely dedicated towards the exhibition of this unrecognised talent in each and every individual. Thus we have come up with a melange of cultural and technical events and have christened it as '+++++'.

ReplyDeleteFirst we have to decide whether the event is to be 60% technical stuff and 40% cultural or any other combination. Since it plays a vital role in attracting people towards events.
Any youngster in our age level or people in today's world will support a event if at all it makes them to feel enjoyable.
Technical stuff makes every one to enjoy to an extend. Even we guys prefer cultural rather than tech sympo.
So my suggestion is that we must conduct the event to attract others not to make them feel tech stuffing. Since it spoils the mood.
For example if we conduct the event for 5 days(assumption) then the technical stuff must be there for 3 days and non technical for continuous 48 hours. It will be a different attempt and will definitely make a huge mark like a radio hosting of 72 hours.
I know it is a real risky task but if we take this it will be damp extraordinary thing, a huge leap. If Einstein was not on his wild dream he would not have been succeeded.
It is just my opinion or rather idea.
Any comments on it welcomed.
@vignesh ya da...good one da :) i agree with u da...however calling chief guest and all will be a difficult during night times da...but if we make it...it ll be like a great festival da...
ReplyDeleteThere is not a single student who would disagree the point put forth by Vignesh.But the problem arises when we approach the mgmt.We already suggested it to VP but they(Coll Management) seem to be reticent to the idea of including culturals for the symp.
ReplyDeleteInspite of their reluctance we have added many cultural events.But as pointed out by vignesh ,the cultural events are the real crowd pullers.We had plans of including Light Music,Dance Comp .cause by adding these cultural events we will not just restrict ourselves to Engg Coll but pull in Medical,Arts coll too.
But again the prob lies with the 'MGMT'.I think we can persuade them if we go in large nos and assure them of proper conduct because i believe the only thing that they fear is 'discipline'.Their fears are justified because problems do arise in the 'D' areas.
